This is the last Will and Testament of me The REVEREND FRANCIS RIVERS of the City of New Sarum in the County of Wilts Clerk in manner and form following that is to say I direct all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses be first paid by my Executrix hereinafter named

I give devise and bequeath unto my wife MARY ANN RIVERS and GEORGE SUTTON of the City of New Sarum aforesaid Gentleman all those six messuages or cottages workshops and buildings gardens and appurtenances situate in Bradmore in the Parish of Hammersmith in the County of Middlesex in the occupation of NOAH CLARKE and his undertenants to hold the same and every part thereof unto my said wife and the said GEORGE SUTTON their heirs executors administrators and assigns upon trust and for the uses intents and purposes following that is to say upon trust that they my said wife and the said GEORGE SUTTON and the survivor of them and the heirs executors and administrators of such survivor do and shall permit and suffer authorise and empower my said wife to retain have receive and take the rents issues and profits of the said messuages or tenements and premises for and during the term of her natural life she my said wife paying the quit rent payable in respect thereof and keeping the same in good tenantable repair and yearly insuring the said messuages hereditaments and premises against loss or damage by fire and from and immediately after the decease of my said wife in trust for my goddaugher FANNY LOUISA HEALD now residing with me to whom I give devise and bequeath the same six cottages workshops outbuildings gardens and premises to hold to her the said FANNY LOUISA HEALD her heirs executors administrators and assigns and I direct the survivor of them my said wife and the said GEORGE SUTTON and the heirs executors and administrators of such survivor to convey assign transfer and assure the same to the said FANNY LOUISA HEALD accordingly but if the said FANNY LOUISA HEALD should happen to die in the lifetime of my said wife then I give devise and bequeath the said six messuages or cottages workshops outbuildings gardens and premises unto her my said wife her heirs executors administrators and assigns absolutely and to be disposed of as she and they may think proper and as to all the rest residue and remainder of my wordly Estate and Effects of what nature or kind soever and wheresoever situate and being and whether in possession remainder reversion or expectancy and over which I have a disposing power at the time of my decease I give devise and bequeath unto my said wife MARY ANN RIVERS to hold the same unto my said wife her heirs executors administrators and assigns according to the nature and quality of my estate and interest therein respectively but subject neverthelessto the payment of all my just debts funeral and testamentary expenses and the costs charges and expenses of proving this my Will

In Witness whereof I the said Testator FRANCIS RIVERS have to this my last Will and Testament contained in one sheet of paper set my hand to the end thereofthis second day of May one thousand eight hundred and forty nine – FRANCIS RIVERS – The above written Will and Testament of the above named FRANCIS RIVERS contained in this one sheet of paper was duly signed by him at the end thereof in the presence of us being both present at the same time who in his presence and in the presence of each other and at his request have hereunto subscribed our names as Witnesses – W W TATUM Rector of St Martin’s Salisbury – JOHN ALFRED LUSH Surgeon Salisbury

Proved at London 12 July 1850 before the Worshipful Frederick Thomas Pratt Doctor of Laws and Surrogate by the Oath of MARY ANN RIVERS Widow the Relict the sole Executrix to whom Admon was granted having been first sworn duly to Administer
