In the Name of God Amen
I WILLIAM HOUSE of the City of Westminster in the County of Middlesex Linen Draper being in sound mind and judgment one knowing the uncertainty of death do make this my last Will and Testament revoking all former Wills and Testaments whatever in manner and form following I give and bequeath unto my beloved Wife MARGARET HOUSE all my singular Estates Moneys Bonds Bills Accounts Goods and Effects whatsoever for her own sole absolute and proper use and I hereby nominate constitute and appoint my said beloved Wife to be my whole and sole Executrix and [ ] my Will is that my said Executrix do pay all my just debts and cause my Body to be buried in a decent manner when it shall please the Almighty to take me out of this World I also recommend to my said Executrix the payment of the following Legacies to HARRY HOUSE in Pall Mall son of my Cousin HENRY HOUSE late of Hammersmith ten pounds to SARAH HOUSE now SARAH [PARFETT] ten pounds to be at her own disposal and to my Maid MARY JONES five pounds in case only the said MARY JONES is living in my Service at the time of my death and not otherwise In witness whereof I have hereunto set my Hand and Seal this eighteenth day of February one thousand seven hundred and sixty three – WILLIAM HOUSE – in the presence of DO. This Will was proved at London on the twenty sixth day of July in the year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and sixty three
