This is the last Will and Testament of me THOMAS HOUSE of Basildon in the County of Berks yeoman which I make publish and declare in manner and form following that is to say First I give and devise unto my relation JOSEPH POCOCK Son of JOSEPH POCOCK of Basildon aforesaid yeoman his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns All that my messuage or Tenement Farm Stables Lands Hereditaments and premises situate in the parishes of Basildon and Bradfield or elsewhere in the County of Berks which I lately purchased of JOHN MIDDLETON To hold the same unto and to the use of the said JOSEPH POCOCK Junior his Heirs Executors Administrators and Assigns for ever Subject nevertheless and I do hereby charge the above Estate with the payment of the sum of two hundred pounds which I direct to be paid to my Executor hereinafter named within the space of twelve Months next after my Decease upon trust as to one hundred pounds part thereof to place the same out at Interest and to pay the same together with all Interest which shall accumulate thereon unto EDWARD POCOCK son of the said JOSEPH POCOCK Senior when and so soon as he shall attain the age of twenty one years And as to the remaining one hundred pounds to place the same out at Interest and to pay the same together with all Interest which shall accumulate thereon unto WILLIAM WYATT Son of JOHN WYATT of East Hendred in the County of Berks as and so soon as he shall attain the age of twenty one years Provided always and my will is that in case either or both of them the said EDWARD POCOCK and WILLIAM WYATT shall die before he or they shall attain the said age of twenty one years then the share or shares of him or them so dying shall go to and I hereby give and bequeath the same to the person who will be entitled to my residuary Estate hereinafter mentioned his Executors Administrators and Assigns I give and bequeath unto JANE SAUNDERS of Basildon aforesaid Spinster the sum of five hundred pounds which Legacy I hereby direct my Executor to pay within twelve Months next after my Decease together with Interest for the same in the mean time I give and bequeath unto my Sisters MARY GOODMAN and ANN HANSON the sum of five pounds each for the purpose of purchasing mourning I give and bequeath unto MARY POCOCK Daughter of the said JOSEPH POCOCK Senior the Sum of one hundred pounds to be paid her by my Executor within twelve Months next after my Decease I give devise and bequeath all the rest residue and remainder of my Estate Stock Cattle personal Estate and Effects whatsoever and wheresoever and of what nature or kind soever unto the said JOSEPH POCOCK Senior his Heirs Executors Administrators and assigns for ever Subject nevertheless to the payment thereout of my just Debts Funeral and Testamentary Expenses And also to the payments of the said Legacies of five hundred pounds to JANE SAUNDERS, five pounds to each of my said Sisters and one hundred pounds to the said MARY POCOCK I hereby constitute and appoint the said JOSEPH POCOCK Senior Sole Executor of this my Will and do revoke all former Wills by me at any time heretofore made and do publish and declare this to be my last Will and Testament In Witness whereof I have to this my last Will and Testament set my hand and seal this sixteenth day of November in the year of our Lord one thousand eight hundred and ten – THOMAS HOUSE
