THE SISTERS OF MERCY

Ultra Rare Trax

Teachers (an unreleased song from the very early days. The sound is very much influenced by the Gang Of Four and lyrics by Leonard Cohen)
Adrenachrome (An early take on a later classic, this joined together with the above track when played live to make a scorching finale)
Good Things (The only song from the Benn Gunn era to end up left on the shelf even though it was recorded in the studio)
Phantom (The long and winding instrumental which was basically used as a band showcase)
Floorshow (A Very early version of what would later herald a highpoint in the group's career)
Lights (Another early four-track demo recorded in a dank basement in Leeds)
A Rock And A Hard Place (An alternate version from the first album sessions. Play loud for maximum effect)
Garden Of Delight (One of Wayne Hussey's rejected songs later revamped and released by The Mission)
Knocking On Heaven's Door (Parts 1 & 2) (The second part of the above song would have been side B of the unreleased single)
Emma (The Sisters' version of the brooding Hot Chocolate seventies classic)
Afterhours (A soundtrack to the film that never was, presented here in correct recording speed)
Valentine (An early attempt at a song later found on the Reptile House project)
Fix (The early, faster version originally titled "Body Politic")
Anaconda (Backed by a teenage Doktor Avalanche, Gary Marx and Andrew Eldritch tear through a very early demo of the snake song)
Burn It Down (An unreleased song from the early days, the intro would later be resurrected for "Burn")
Dominion/Mother Russia (The return of the man in black. An early port-a-studio demo recording from 1986)
Lucretia, My Reflection (As above, again from the Hamburg sessions with all instrumentation played by Andrew)
